What makes it different from the others is not to be looked for in the front but, as is increasingly common, in the rear. The identifying symbol of this Oppo Find X3 Pro is quickly located at first glance right where the manufacturers of large smartphones are having the most headaches: the camera module. This element is perfectly integrated into the design in a continuous and subtle way, giving it an extra elegance as well as confirming that no detail has been left to chance.People, when they see it, can't help asking on the phone. And that happens with very few generations of smartphones today, where what dominates is the clone. That back is made of frosted glass, so to the touch it leaves us a memory closer to plastic than to glass. The good thing is that the appearance is maintained in all the high and in addition it is a non-gloss finish perfectly set with the metallic frame and that it costs a lot to get dirty. This happens with the blue version that we have tested. The rest of the design aspects of the Oppo Find X3 Pro are also quite remarkable. With that finish and Gorilla Glass 5 protection (it also has an IP68 profile), the Oppo Find X3 Pro has not been slippery in hand and despite its large design, the small width makes it a comfortable phone although it demands participation in many actions. of the other hand.Despite its general size, the weight is below 200 grams, and that shows a lot in the comfort of use.It is not tiring to be reproducing content or playing during long sessions. In case of using the terminal placed on a flat surface, pressing in the upper left area of the screen causes the phone to swing due to the height of the camera module, which we have seen is well integrated but does not stop protruding from the design of the back. of the OPPO Find X3 Pro.Regarding the physical aspect of this terminal, it should also be mentioned that the 3.5 mm port is dispensed with.In the frames we only find the USB-C port along with the slot for the nanoSIM card (DualSIM) and the main speaker, all in the lower frame. As for the sides, on the right is the power button, leaving the volume controls to the opposite side, perhaps somewhat reduced in length but with good feel and correct height with respect to the length of the terminal. All of them are within easy reach of the fingers in the usual way of grasping the terminal. If it weren't for that tricky design, the OPPO Find X3 Pro would probably be talking mainly about its screen. It is the jewel in the manufacturer's crown. It is an AMOLED LTPO panel subtly curved around the edges and with a 6.7-inch screen size. The screen ratio is touching 93%, an excellent figure. The screen looks especially sharp thanks to its more than 520 dpi that gives it a resolution of 3216x1440 pixels, which together with the contrast and very high brightness of 1300 nits (it is HDR10 + certified), make the viewing experience a pleasure and spectacle. .Not forgetting color accuracy, with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 space, NTSC and sRGB (depending on the display mode we choose) -The panel offers two native refresh rates: 120 and 60 Hz, also having 240 Hz touch refresh. All these data translate into a very fluid and precise viewing experience with a very remarkable color and vividness but nothing artificial. And outdoors we will not find visualization problems no matter how south we live. The display experience is quite customizable. We can choose between automatic resolution adjustment or force one of the modes: FHD + and QHD +.Also the choice of the refresh rate can be set manually at 60 or 120 Hz.As for the color modes of the screen, by default the intense one is activated, which is my favorite, but we can also choose the soft (sRGB), the cinematic or the bright. In all the above cases we have a potentiometer available to regulate the color temperature of the screen. We also have HDR video mode, video resolution improvement, natural tone and fatigue reduction.Of course, the dark mode is not lacking, which we can force or let it change automatically. The behavior of the screen when locked is also quite customizable. We have the always-on screen mode available, with different styles to choose from, which include clocks, animations, and even text and images. We can also choose if we want the locked screen to be activated with two touches on the panel or when lifting the terminal. The OPPO Find X3 Pro does not miss the appointment with biometric identification in its two most popular formats: fingerprint and facial recognition. The first of the systems places the sensor under the screen, offering it a fast and precise operation.Just lift the terminal and that simple gesture activates the location of the reader in the lower area of the lock screen.Just place your finger on the virtual fingerprint and we will instantly be inside the already unlocked system. The face recognition system is a perfect complement and its use is more intuitive and even faster depending on how we pick up the terminal from a table or take it out of our pocket. The identification of our face is instantaneous and we can choose between an instant (literal) unlocking or that the system waits until we swipe up.The OPPO Find X3 Pro does not have a direct headphone output via a 3.5 mm connector but with an adapter we can access the special prepared configuration, which includes equalization among other options. If we opt for native sound, there are two speakers available that do not offer a particularly remarkable experience either in general quality or in bass or stereo effect. In the sound, the lower speaker ends up dominating but except in specific cases, the experience has been correct and in line with the design of the terminal. We usually talk about an extra fluidity in the movement of elements of the operating system interface when we evaluate the option of having a panel with 120 Hz refresh.Little did the Oppo Find X3 Pro lack that element, because with a specification sheet that includes 12 GB of RAM, the Snapdragon 888 and a layer on Android very well optimized, the experience both in day to day and tasks of the most demanding, the performance of the new Oppo is clearly excellent.Navigation, use of social networks, photo and video editing, creative apps ... everything that we think we can currently do with a phone via applications, is excellently managed by this OPPO Find X3 Pro.In benchmark figures, these data are well corroborated (although without standing out among the rivals of the same range) and all this without the terminal overheating or unexpected closures. The internal memory that we have is 256 GB, a balanced figure but that does not support the possibility of expanding that capacity artificially with microSD memory cards. At the connectivity level, the Oppo Find X3 Pro must be said that it is a terminal ready to take advantage of 5G connectivity as well as Wifi 6 (2x2 MIMO).It also has NFC and Bluetooth 5.2.Very few terminals today can boast that the layer on Android is a valid sales pitch.Color OS, which reaches version 11.2 on Android 11 in this OPPO Find X3 Pro, is one of them. This layer is especially visually attractive, quite customizable and with a good balance between extra contributions and native Android elements. And above all, it has been a very optimized layer that goes smoothly.Color OS includes an app to manage the global operation of the terminal, as well as its photo, file or music managers, among others. For those who want to personalize their experience with the terminal, there is a sidebar, gestures, battery optimization, children's profile (with general application blocking) and even a game mode called Games Space, which includes different game modes where you can manage from the use of automatic brightness to notifications or the preloading of some titles that we play the most. One of the surprises these days using the OPPO Find X3 Pro as the main terminal on a day-to-day basis has been the battery. With the usual intensive use that we recreate in the tests with phones in Engadget, the OPPO Find X3 Pro has arrived most of the days with just enough to end the day.We are talking about 19-22 hours on average. In our actual use test, the Oppo Find X3 Pro has offered us between 5 and 8 hours of screen. The highest figure has been given when we have resorted to the automatic adjustments of both resolution and refresh rate, while the 5 hours of screen we have averaged with all the resources of the terminal at full capacity. The fast charging of this Oppo Find X3 Pro is once again a scandal. As standard, it comes with a 65 W charger that, once it asks us to charge the terminal (it happens when it reaches 15% of the remaining battery), it only takes 7 minutes to reach 50% again. The full charge of the battery, remember that 4500 mAh, only requires only 26 minutes.Amazing and a delight if we are usually in a hurry when loading the terminal.Of course, it must be borne in mind that these figures are only given with the charger that comes standard from Oppo.We have tested with other adapters, even 65W, and the load is much slower.Even desperate, exceeding two hours. In case we prefer wireless charging, this Oppo Find X3 Pro is ready for 30W wireless recharging. It is clear that OPPO did not want the new Find X3 Pro to go unnoticed. Therefore, in addition to a very striking design, it had one last surprise in store for us in the configuration of its photographic system. On paper we have to talk about four cameras, including a main 50 MP with OIS and a wide angle with the same resolution and sensor size as the main one. They only differ at the aperture level, which in the case of the main one is f1.8 while the wide angle has to settle for f2.2.It also does not carry OIS.The third camera is a 3x optical, 5X hybrid and 20X digital zoom. Its aperture is fixed at f2.4.But the surprise comes in the form of the fourth sensor, 3 MP, fixed focus and with a 60X zoom so that it can act as a kind of microscope. Are you not curious about its possibilities? Before doing so, let's talk about the interface, where there are certainly no surprises. The main shooting modes are accessible from a non-customizable carousel that is quite agile in operation.Depending on the chosen mode, the zoom possibilities appear or disappear according to touch.Among the main modes we must mention the night or portrait mode. With a single touch of the screen we have options to activate the flash, HDR, AI mode or filters. In addition, by pulling that area down there is direct access to change the shooting format, use the timer or choose the 50 MP shooting mode, which by default is deactivated. For the rest of the options, already minor such as ultra-sharp mode through AI, portrait distortion correction or 10-bit color shooting, you have to enter the camera options.Although the zoom and the microscopic camera are the most mediatic of this OPPO Find X3 Pro, what is relevant at the photographic level is really found where always: in the main camera. The interesting thing about this new terminal is that we can also say that the wide angle replicates the good results of the main sensor, something very welcome because the user does not have to make the decision to choose between one camera or another based on the final overall quality. you want to get. Both cameras, main and wide angle, offer results in line with the best smartphones on the market in this range. The photos have an important fine detail and without great errors or being artificial, the color is very prominent and the dynamic range worthy of a high-end of the highest level. With the main sensor and its f1.8, as soon as we get closer to the object, we get a very natural bokeh. In both cases we can choose to choose the 50 MP shot, which allows us to cut lossless images. As for HDR, it is not counterproductive, although it will always depend on the particular scene. The camera of this Oppo Find X3 Pro also stands out for the possibility of taking images with 10 bit color depth. In the gallery of images we have a mark which image has been taken with this mode activated (it is in the camera options) but for most users it is an extra function that does not mark differences at first glance. This behavior with the two cameras (main and wide angle) is maintained when the light begins to be scarce. Here we already see a little more difference with other high-end, but in any case the results of both sensors are outstanding if we do not get too close to the details, where some noise already appears. To try to alleviate this erratic behavior we have the night mode (activate it with both cameras), which offers good results if the light is especially low, although in some cases the white balance is not quite right. The zoom is something that a user already associates with a high-end level and especially with the OPPO Find X. In this new model the manufacturer has stayed in a 3x optical zoom that helps us get closer to the object without there being a descent overall image quality. Both color and overall detail or dynamic range are within acceptable limits. But once we turn to the 5x hybrid zoom or the purely digital zoom, which can reach up to 20x, the loss of sharpness and fidelity is already evident. It serves us therefore for that occasional image or detail that we want to share on networks but that does not come out of there. The rest of the modes maintain the type but without particularly emphasizing. We are talking about portrait mode, with a bokeh effect slider and a very good result in general, or macro mode.In this case, it is not activated with any button but, when we get close enough to an object, the system switches to the tele camera and the Macro mode is activated, which we can deactivate again. And it was time to speak in the most mediatic way but also the most forgotten. The fourth camera aims to replicate the operation of a microscope thanks to its 60X direct magnification with fixed focus. In a way it reproduces it, but after the initial frolics of the first days with this camera, then it goes a bit into oblivion. Also, getting good images requires some practice, patience, and preferably a tripod. Finally I tell you about the secondary camera. It is a 32 MP sensor with f2.4 and that offers a correct level of detail but suffers somewhat more with the white balance. It also supports portrait mode.As for video recording, the rear camera supports 4K video at 60 fps, with video stabilization that does not make any difference with the Ultraestabe mode activated or not.Video recording supports zooming up to 10X when using the main camera. If we shoot with the wide angle, that option is no longer available. To play in the league of the best smartphones on the market, you have to make very few mistakes. The OPPO Find X3 Pro knows the lesson well and hardly presents any cracks in its appearance in our review. This smartphone enters through the eyes thanks to its original design and has just conquered us with the help of a spectacular screen, an optimized and valid ColorOS, as well as with a technical sheet where the only downside is to put it to autonomy, something fair despite the help of a sublime fast charge.Even its photographic section sits at the table of the best of the year when we refer to the overall behavior of the two main cameras, which can boast that you do not have to choose between them to get excellent photographs. But with such equality, the price and details like the minor and impractical "secondary" cameras, can force an imbalance for some users.OPPO Find X3 Pro 5G - 6.7 "Screen (120 Hz AMOLED, 12GB + 256GB, Snapdragon 888, 4500 mAh Battery, Quadruple Camera 50MP + 50MP + 13MP + 3MP, Fast Charge 65W) Black [ES / PT Version]The terminal has been loaned for testing by OPPO.Can inquire our policy of relationships with enterprises.Share Oppo Find X3 Pro, analysis: the assault on the premium range goes through its screen and design, not the microscopic cameraMore sites you will likeSee more articlesSee more videos
