X, scanning electron microscope with energy dispersed X-ray spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared spectrometry, among others). The IAPH plans to intensify these latest studies in the second half of the year, together with the start of a series of archaeometric analyzes of both bronzes in order to investigate their origin and manufacturing technique. All these multidisciplinary works are possible thanks to the scientific infrastructure of the IAPH and its multidisciplinary technical team, expert and with proven experience.Added to this is the strategic cooperation with a network of external entities of scientific excellence, which will allow the exchange of experiences and optimization of results. This program of preliminary studies, which is about to end, is the first phase of the management assignment to the IAPH by the Ministry of Culture and Historical Heritage for the R&D and conservation of these Roman sculptures found in Pedro Abad. From now on, the work will continue to be more focused on operational activities (the cleaning process of some of the ephebes has already begun) and, later, on scientific transfer. The knowledge obtained will undoubtedly make it possible to go beyond the specific case of the ephebes of Pedro Abad and contribute to the advancement of criteria, techniques and methodologies for the conservation of the great bronzes of Antiquity. The delegate of the Government of the Junta in Córdoba, Antonio Repullo;the territorial delegate for Culture and Historical Heritage, Cristina Casanueva;the delegate of Culture of Pedro Abad, Adela Calzado, accompanied by the director of the IAPH, Juan José Primo Jurado, have seen first-hand the progress of the investigations. You have to be registered to be able to write comments.© JolyDigital |Rioja 13, Mezzanine.41001 Seville
