ISSSTE delivers medical equipment to different hospitals to improve care and services to their beneficiariesWith the aim of improving health services, the ISSSTE began the delivery of medical equipment with a first delivery of 541 new high-tech equipment to hospitals in eight states in the countryThe general director of the institute, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, highlighted the relevance of said delivery, since 62 years ago when ISSSTE began operations, it barely served 500,000 people a year, and today it has 13,500,000 beneficiaries, which exceeded the infrastructure of the agency and had not been modernized or equipped according to the needs of each medical unit, he pointed out, in the last two decades.Therefore, in order to strengthen care and provide quality health services to the beneficiaries of the Institute, the general director of the same, reported that, in coordination with the normative directorates of Health and Administration and Finance, the equipment of general, regional and National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre” hospitals.Among the equipment that was delivered to the institute's medical units are: ultrasonic aspirator, Mayfield head, two-dimensional Doppler echocardiograph, electromyograph, electroretinograph, sphygmomanometer, hospital diagnostic kit, retinal photocoagulator, slit and frontal lamp, lensometer, microscope for ophthalmology highly specialized, imaging system navigator, indirect binocular ophthalmoscope, as well as electrosurgery, phacoemulsion and evoked potential units.Electric and intensive care hospital beds, general procedure and patient transfer stretchers, incubators for newborns, direct and self-generated steam sterilizers, optical laryngoscopes, surgical material washers and vital signs monitors were also delivered.In the general hospitals of "Fray Junípero Serra" 16 teams were delivered;Juarez City, 24;Acapulco, 24;Tampico, 24;Saltillo, 41;Tacuba, 41;“Dr.Dario Fernandez Fierro”, 41.For the regional hospitals "Bicentennial of Independence", 41;“Valentín Gómez Farías”, 41;“October 1”, 73;“Gral.Ignacio Zaragoza”, 69;and the National Medical Center “20 de Noviembre”, 106.Zenteno Santaella emphasized that the Presidential instruction "is to continue cleaning up and recovering what distinguished it for years as a cutting-edge institute throughout Latin America."
